nj solar powerThe Entech Group, Inc. (Entech) of NJ is excited to confirm that the Department of Energy (DOE) announced a $60 million investment for applied scientific research to advance cutting-edge Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) technologies. CSP technologies use mirrors to reflect and concentrate sunlight to produce heat, which can then be used to produce electricity. The investment supports the DOE’s SunShot Initiative.

The Department of Energy SunShot Initiative is a collaborative national initiative to make solar energy cost competitive with other forms of energy by the end of the decade. Reducing the installed cost of solar energy systems by about 75% will drive widespread, large-scale adoption of this renewable energy technology and restore U.S. leadership in the global clean energy race.

The Entech Group, Inc., a leading provider of residential and commercial solar power solutions in NJ, is pleased with the announcement. Tom Furey, VP of The Entech Group, Inc., is quoted, “The SunShot Initiative will help make solar power more accessible for NJ companies, and companies nationwide. This will help cut our reliance on fossil fuels and reduce carbon emissions overall.”
